You Me at Six blew the roof off of Gramercy Theatre on Friday night. Playing to a sold-out crowd, the boys performed some of their best hits from their latest album VI. They also played some major throwbacks from the last couple of years which was nostalgic. I remember listening to You Me at Six in my room back when I was in high school, so getting to finally see them perform live was surreal. They played crowd favorites “Fast Forward,” “Back Again,” and “Room to Breathe.” Their insane energy plus the crowd’s intensity made one hell of a show. Concerts like this are always dreamlike because you have people of all generations bonding over the music, which is all that matters in the moment, and that’s truly beautiful. You Me at Six kept fans off their feet the entire show, and there was never a dull moment. They were full of life and tireless; I could just go on and on about how amazing they are. Not to mention the opening acts Machine Heart and DREAMERS who truly put on great shows as well. They were the perfect openers for You Me at Six; they engaged the audience with their mesmerizing lyrics and stage presence. If You Me at Six are coming to a city near you, I urge you to go to their show. It’s one for the books!
